A Light Blue Garden Large Square Silk Scarf Under Soft Clouds

The scene opens at the top with cream clouds over misty pale blue hills, drawn in fine ink lines. Sage and olive trees fill the middle distance, a few small orange birds perch in the trees, and the foreground bursts into a garden of pink peonies, orange blooms, ferns and tall spiky orange grasses. A pale band runs inside the border and a narrow orange edge finishes it. The folded corner reveals the garden again, softer, on the reverse.

Pastel Silk Scarf Knots for the Neck, Hair and Shoulders

At the throat, a front knot brings the pink peonies onto both tails while the misty blue sits at the neck. Spread over the hair and knotted at the nape, the garden covers the back of the head, with the orange edge framing the face. Unfolded, it is large enough to lie over the shoulders as a light wrap. Care instructions

Silk is a protein fiber. Treat it the way you treat hair.

  1. Hand wash, coldTwo minutes in cold water with a detergent made for silk or wool.
  2. Never a biological detergentIts enzymes break down protein, and silk is protein. No bleach either.
  3. Press, then dry flatRoll it in a towel to take the water out. Never wring it.
  4. Out of the sunDirect light fades dye. Dry it flat in the shade, not on a radiator.
  5. Iron damp, on the reverseLowest setting, no steam, and keep the iron off the hem.
  6. Store it loosely rolledRolled loosely in a drawer, away from light. A tight fold leaves a crease.

Dry cleaning works too: ask for silk, no solvent on the hem.
