Every card gives the size in inches, with centimeters alongside. When a print comes in more than one color, the small squares next to the price switch between them.

Silk Scarfs

Emerald, sage, teal and a touch of lime

Green comes deep or soft here, on skinny scarves, bandanas, squares and shawls. Twelve ways to wear one, from a ponytail to a wrap over the shoulders.

Twelve looks, step by step

Green silk scarves, deep and soft

A green silk scarf here can be deep emerald, dusty sage, dark teal or a bright line of lime and mint. Green almost always shares the print with mustard, blush, orange or violet, which makes it easier to place in an outfit than a solid green would be.

Emerald and dark teal

An emerald silk scarf is the most saturated green in this edit: a small square of tonal roses framed by a leopard border, with sand and black. It looks crisp against a white shirt and warm against camel or chocolate knitwear. Dark teal is the cooler deep green; on a bandana it edges baroque scrolls on black, a quiet match for gray flannel, ink blue and burgundy. Teal sits halfway to the blue silk scarves.

Sage, mint and olive

A sage green silk scarf is quieter. Sage appears with burgundy and slate blue on a large square of horses, plumes and striped panels, in a painted riverside village with cream and mustard, and among butterflies, trees and waves with light blue and orange. Mint brightens an orange skinny scarf of star leaves and navy flowers, and olive runs through a mustard one of chains and ropes. These lighter greens suit denim, oatmeal knits, white and khaki. The large square with horses is among our large silk scarves.

Animals and flowers in green prints

Cats in sweaters fill a green bandana with a mustard edge. Painted irises in green, purple and yellow stand inside a violet border. On the skinny scarves, giraffes, honeycomb and blooms mix lime with fuchsia and azure, and a sketched house opens onto plants and a garden pool in blush, lime and sky blue. On the shawls, patchwork daisies in white, teal and butter yellow sit within a periwinkle edge, and orange and gray leopards overlap inside a leaf-green border. The cat and iris prints are both silk bandanas.

Green from skinny scarf to shawl

Skinny scarves of 2 × 33.5 to 35.5 in (5 × 85 to 90 cm) go around a ponytail or a bag handle. The bandanas, 21 in (53 cm), tie as a headband or a kerchief at the nape, and the leopard-framed square, 25.5 in (65 cm), knots neatly at the neck. The large squares of 43.5 in (110 cm) and the shawls of 51 in (130 cm) open over the shoulders or tie as a sarong. Compare the sizes.

Questions about green silk scarves

What colors go with a green silk scarf?

Cream, camel, navy and denim are the safe partners. For more color, borrow from the prints themselves: mustard from the cat bandana, burgundy from the riding panels square, blush and powder blue from the green chain skinny scarf, violet from the irises. Repeating one of those in your clothes ties the outfit together.

Does a green scarf look good over a gray coat?

Yes, and the shade decides the effect. Emerald gives the strongest contrast against gray, and a small square knotted at the neck is enough to show it. Sage sits closer to a mid-gray in depth, so the result is softer; the large square with horses and plumes, folded over the collar, lets more of the print show.

Which green print suits a garden party?

Pick a light print with plenty of air in it. The pastel garden square, with misty hills in pale blue, sage and pink, can be knotted loosely at the neck over a summer dress; the bandana of painted irises ties in the hair. Both keep green fresh rather than dark.

Which green scarves have animals in the print?

Cats in sweaters on a bandana, horses with plumes among sage and burgundy panels on a large square, giraffes with lime on a skinny scarf, and leopards, either as a frame around tonal roses or overlapping on a shawl with a leaf-green border. More animal prints.

Does a green scarf suit red hair?

Green and red face each other across the color wheel, which is why green makes copper and auburn tones look richer. Emerald gives the strongest effect; sage and olive are gentler. Tied as a headband, a green bandana puts the color right next to the hair, where the contrast shows most.
