What a silk scarf set holds
Each set gathers two to five silk scarves that already work together. Some repeat one print in three colorways, like the chain print and leopard shawl trios; others mix shapes, like the trio of a paisley bandana, a horse print square and a giraffe skinny scarf. The contents, sizes and prints are listed on every set, with photos of each piece.
Choosing a set by shape
Shawl sets measure 51 in (130 cm) a side and drape over the shoulders or tie as a sarong. The square set is 35.5 in (90 cm), large enough for a belt or a headscarf. Bandana sets are 21 in (53 cm), the size for the neck and the hair, and skinny scarf sets are 2 × 33.5 in (5 × 85 cm) for ponytails and bag handles. The size guide compares them all.
A pack of silk scarves to give or to share
A set splits easily: keep one scarf and give the others, or offer the whole pack of silk scarves for Christmas, a birthday or Mother's Day. Questions about silk scarves
Does the print show on the back?
On most printed silk, yes: the design shows on the back, a shade lighter. The Reverse line of the Silk passport on each product page tells you what our photos show for that scarf.
What is the difference between silk and satin?
Silk is a fiber, satin is a weave. A satin scarf can be silk, polyester or a blend, so the fiber line matters more than the word. Each product page here lists the fiber.
Will the scarf hold a knot?
Fold or roll the square into a band before you tie it: a flat square slips, a folded one holds much better. Eight knots that hold.
Can I see the same print in another color?
When a print exists in several colorways, the small squares next to the sizes show them. Tap one and the card switches to that colorway.
How do I choose between two sizes?
Take the larger one. A knot eats an inch or two (a few centimeters), and a square that is slightly too big can always be folded smaller. The sizes, drawn to scale.
What do the size names mean?
Four shapes, and the square comes in three. A skinny scarf is a ribbon, 2 to 5 in (5 to 12 cm) wide. A bandana, 18 to 23 in (45 to 58 cm), sits on the head. The squares run from 23 to 51 in (59 to 129 cm): small for the hair and the neck, the 31 to 41 in (80 to 104 cm) square for everything, large to fold over the shoulders.
