An Orange Giraffe Print Skinny Silk Scarf With Red Flowers

Two long-necked giraffes stretch along this ribbon, their navy coats crossed by a fine pale net. Around them bloom large red and coral chrysanthemums, and a pale yellow honeycomb pattern fills the open ground behind. Near the slanted tips the print changes to a fan of pointed petals in red, turquoise and cream, almost like a lotus seen from the side. The colors are warm and saturated from end to end.

Giraffe Print Silk Scarf Ideas: Neck, Wrist, Hair

A side knot at the neck shows a giraffe on one tail and the red flowers on the other. Wrapped around the wrist, it becomes a bold cuff. As a headband, the orange band crosses long hair with a giraffe just above the ear, and it ties on a bag handle in a single knot. Our skinny silk scarves include more narrow prints.

Care instructions

Silk is a protein fiber. Treat it the way you treat hair.

  1. Hand wash, coldTwo minutes in cold water with a detergent made for silk or wool.
  2. Never a biological detergentIts enzymes break down protein, and silk is protein. No bleach either.
  3. Press, then dry flatRoll it in a towel to take the water out. Never wring it.
  4. Out of the sunDirect light fades dye. Dry it flat in the shade, not on a radiator.
  5. Iron damp, on the reverseLowest setting, no steam, and keep the iron off the hem.
  6. Store it loosely rolledRolled loosely in a drawer, away from light. A tight fold leaves a crease.

Dry cleaning works too: ask for silk, no solvent on the hem.
