The Black and Gold Baroque Silk Bandana in Scrollwork
The pattern borrows from old damask wallpaper: curling leafy scrolls, pointed crests and rows of tiny dots, all printed in a warm, matte gold on a black ground. The motifs mirror each other around a center line, so the square keeps a formal, symmetrical look even when it is knotted. A narrow gold band frames it, and the reverse, visible on the folded corner, turns the whole design pale beige.
Styling a Baroque Silk Scarf: Neck, Band, Kerchief
Knot it to one side of the neck and the gold border frames the triangle under the chin. Folded into a narrow strip, it wraps the head as a headband knotted above one ear, the gold scrolls running along the band. Worn as a kerchief over the crown, it ties at the nape, the gold edge drawing a point above the knot. More in our black silk scarves.
Black Gold Silk Scarf: 21 in (53 cm) and Its Dark Teal Twin
It is 21 × 21 in (53 × 53 cm). Because the ground is black, wash it apart from light pieces, by hand in cool water with a mild silk wash, and dry it flat. The same scrollwork also exists in a dark teal colorway. Sizes are compared on our size guide page.
