Teal Monet Sunrise Silk Bandana From the 1872 Painting
The square reproduces Impression, Sunrise, the harbor view Claude Monet painted at Le Havre in 1872, the canvas that gave Impressionism its name. A small red sun burns through an orange haze, its reflection broken into short strokes across teal water, while dark boat silhouettes and hazy ship shapes sit in the distance. The painter's signature appears in one corner, and a teal edge frames the view. The reverse is pale.
Three Knots for a Monet Silk Scarf
As a neckerchief, knotted a little to one side, it keeps the red sun right beside the knot. Folded into a narrow band and knotted above the ear, it leaves an orange tip and a teal tip beside the knot. Or drape it over the hair as a kerchief and tie the ends at the nape, where the gathered hair falls below the knot. The silk neck scarves collection holds more printed squares.
Teal Silk Scarf Size and Gentle Washing
Edge to edge, this bandana comes to 21 × 21 in (53 × 53 cm). Rinse it by hand in a bowl of cold water with a little silk detergent, keep the soak short, blot it with a towel and rest it flat indoors, away from sun that could fade the teal. The size guide lists our other sizes, and the silk care page has more washing tips.
