A Cream Chevron Silk Square Scarf With Orange Zigzags

Fine gray lines zigzag across the cream center in rows, like a sheet of graph paper folded into peaks. Near two opposite edges the pattern turns bold: a band of orange, yellow and red zigzag stripes, then a solid deep teal band. The other two sides stay cream, with just the gray lines reaching the hem. The result is clean and graphic, and the folded corner shows a faint pale blue and orange reverse.

Geometric Print Silk Scarf Knots

Tie it once at the front of the neck and the teal and orange bands land on the two tails while the gray chevrons sit at the throat. Care instructions

Silk is a protein fiber. Treat it the way you treat hair.

  1. Hand wash, coldTwo minutes in cold water with a detergent made for silk or wool.
  2. Never a biological detergentIts enzymes break down protein, and silk is protein. No bleach either.
  3. Press, then dry flatRoll it in a towel to take the water out. Never wring it.
  4. Out of the sunDirect light fades dye. Dry it flat in the shade, not on a radiator.
  5. Iron damp, on the reverseLowest setting, no steam, and keep the iron off the hem.
  6. Store it loosely rolledRolled loosely in a drawer, away from light. A tight fold leaves a crease.

Dry cleaning works too: ask for silk, no solvent on the hem.
