The Hair Duo: Monet And Floral Silk Hair Scarf Set Of 2

A painting and a pattern, picked to share the same warm orange. Harbor Dawn reproduces Impression, Sunrise by Claude Monet, with its red sun over teal water and dark boats, framed by a teal edge. Tile Garden is a narrow strip of mint star-shaped leaves with navy and blush flowers on orange, one tip closing on cream scallops and a navy edge.

Two Ways to Wear a Silk Hair Scarf

Wear the bandana in the hair and the skinny scarf as a headband, as the photos show, then trade places another day. Together they work with a low bun or long, loose hair. Every piece we sell for the hair, from bandanas to skinny scarves, is gathered in our silk hair scarves.

Hair Scarf Measurements and Care

Sizes: the bandana is 21 × 21 in (53 × 53 cm), the skinny scarf 2 × 33.5 in (5 × 85 cm). Both like a quick hand wash, cool water and a little silk wash, then a flat dry. They ship separately, in up to two parcels. Also sold alone: Harbor Dawn and Tile Garden. See the size guide.

Care instructions

Silk is a protein fiber. Treat it the way you treat hair.

  1. Hand wash, coldTwo minutes in cold water with a detergent made for silk or wool.
  2. Never a biological detergentIts enzymes break down protein, and silk is protein. No bleach either.
  3. Press, then dry flatRoll it in a towel to take the water out. Never wring it.
  4. Out of the sunDirect light fades dye. Dry it flat in the shade, not on a radiator.
  5. Iron damp, on the reverseLowest setting, no steam, and keep the iron off the hem.
  6. Store it loosely rolledRolled loosely in a drawer, away from light. A tight fold leaves a crease.

Dry cleaning works too: ask for silk, no solvent on the hem.
