A Blue Floral Skinny Silk Scarf in Cobalt and Green

The two halves of this ribbon tell different stories. One side is a dense cobalt garden of tiny flowers in red, white, orange and turquoise, packed as tightly as a tiled wall. The other side opens up into large green star-shaped leaves on cobalt, crossed by fine pale blue arcs. At the floral end, the slanted tip finishes in turquoise and blue bands drawn with waves and a small running scroll, edged in sky blue.

A Skinny Silk Scarf for the Neck, Wrist, Hair and Bag

Wrapped once around the neck and knotted to one side, it lets the floral end and the green end hang at different lengths. Looped around the wrist and knotted, it turns into a bracelet. Care instructions

Silk is a protein fiber. Treat it the way you treat hair.

  1. Hand wash, coldTwo minutes in cold water with a detergent made for silk or wool.
  2. Never a biological detergentIts enzymes break down protein, and silk is protein. No bleach either.
  3. Press, then dry flatRoll it in a towel to take the water out. Never wring it.
  4. Out of the sunDirect light fades dye. Dry it flat in the shade, not on a radiator.
  5. Iron damp, on the reverseLowest setting, no steam, and keep the iron off the hem.
  6. Store it loosely rolledRolled loosely in a drawer, away from light. A tight fold leaves a crease.

Dry cleaning works too: ask for silk, no solvent on the hem.
