A Green Iris Floral Silk Bandana Painted Stroke by Stroke
Clumps of purple irises rise out of a tangle of long, pointed leaves, all laid down in heavy strokes of paint like a canvas. The leaves run from bright lime to deep green, and the ground behind them glows yellow and ochre, strongest toward one corner. Each iris mixes violet, lilac and a touch of white around a small yellow heart. A two-tone violet band frames the square, and the folded-back corner shows the same flowers, paler, on the reverse.
Three Ways With This Silk Bandana for Hair and Neck
Fold it into a strip, wrap it around your head and knot it just above one ear, the violet-edged tips sticking out, hair pulled back into a low bun. At the neck, a quick knot at the side leaves the painted point hanging at the front. As a kerchief over the hair, it ties at the nape and covers the back of the head in green. More painted squares are among our silk bandanas.
Care for a Purple and Green Iris Silk Scarf
It measures 21 × 21 in (53 × 53 cm), our bandana size. A few drops of silk wash in a bowl of cool water are enough; keep the purple away from other pieces in case it runs. Pat off the water between towels and lay it open to dry in a shaded spot. Compare it with larger squares in the size guide.
