A Solid Black Silk Bandana With No Print at All

Deep and even from corner to corner, this black has a low sheen that traces the shape of every fold without turning shiny. The stitched hem is black as well, so the edge vanishes once the bandana is tied. With no print to clash with anything, it sits as well on a white shirt as on a camel coat. Where a corner folds back, the underside is just as dark.

How to Wear a Black Silk Bandana Scarf

As a head scarf, spread it over the hair and tie the corners at the nape. In the hair, turn it into a narrow band wrapped around the head and knotted above the ear, a simple frame for a low bun. At the throat, a small knot off to one side gives a sharp black triangle under the chin. Our black silk scarves gather every black design.

Care instructions

Silk is a protein fiber. Treat it the way you treat hair.

  1. Hand wash, coldTwo minutes in cold water with a detergent made for silk or wool.
  2. Never a biological detergentIts enzymes break down protein, and silk is protein. No bleach either.
  3. Press, then dry flatRoll it in a towel to take the water out. Never wring it.
  4. Out of the sunDirect light fades dye. Dry it flat in the shade, not on a radiator.
  5. Iron damp, on the reverseLowest setting, no steam, and keep the iron off the hem.
  6. Store it loosely rolledRolled loosely in a drawer, away from light. A tight fold leaves a crease.

Dry cleaning works too: ask for silk, no solvent on the hem.
